I Married June 47
years ago not thinking that I would be going on an adventure of a life time.

From the day we got married June was constantly a positive
force in my life even at the end June tried
to make sure my life would be better for Charlotte and me.

June was all about helping those who needed the most help
regardless of who they were.

One time, in Peace River Alberta, we were driving towards one of Junes work functions when we passed a native person lying on the side of
the road. June asked me to stop the car to see if she could do anything and I told her we shouldn’t get involved. June immediately replied that she was getting out of the car whether I stopped it or not.
So I stopped and June took care of this person until help arrived. He had been knocked over by a passing vehicle and had been left on the side of the road.

Weeks later we got a knock on our door and a big native guy
was standing there asking to see the lady who had helped him and wanted to say thanks. Somehow he had taken the time to find June Just like June had taken the time to care for someone who needed her help.

Occasions like that often happened with June and I would patiently in the back ground while June did her “thing” Junes life was like that she had no time for the big non-profits as she wanted to be right where the people where who really need help.
I know that there a lot of people out there whose life is a little better because of June who would now be sad to know that June has gone. June never wanted recognition she just smiled and laughed and left that person better off and that was her reward.
In saying that in many ways June has not gone as there are
people out there living a better life because of June and that will go on for ever.

My reward was being there when it happened.
